Art is better shared. Folkmade is a student-run initiative dedicated to crafting the storyof student artisanship on College Hill. We celebrate the homegrown makers of the Brown, RISD, and Providence communities.Folkmade brings the maker back to the product, and we do this through beautiful photo-essay style storytelling. Our writers and photographers meet extensively with each artist. We stay in the studio with them until 2am. We watch them delicately sew pages together, and mix their watercolors to the perfect shade.
